Location
Our campus is located at 1601 Maple Street, Carrollton, GA 30118.
Faculty and staff members are expected to be physically present on campus as needed to support the in-person educational experience and on-campus vitality at the University of West Georgia. Depending upon teaching assignments and student demand, this could include the Carrollton or Newnan campuses.
Job Summary
The eCampus Data Analyst will serve as a vital member of the eCampus Data Science Team. The data analyst will report to the Data Scientist and Learning Analyst and will work closely with USG eCampus internal teams and USG stakeholders to understand their analytical needs, evaluate key performance metrics, and analyze trends. Perform ad hoc analyses to discover actionable information in support of strategic decision-making. Synchronize and develop complex data analysis and presentation of key metrics related to benchmarks that support program integrity and student success and outcomes in multi-institutional programs. Leverage enterprise business intelligence tools and platforms to develop informative dashboards and reports. Maintain accuracy and quality of data extracts.
Along with data analysis activities, this position will serve as a member of the eCampus Student Success Team (SST) and will engage directly with students during outreach calls and student risk reporting. Other duties are assigned as necessary.
Responsibilities

Direct support to all USG eCampus-related programs and partners in taking raw data and interpreting it to form meaningful conclusions and develop insights based on analysis. Develops spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards to deliver analytical insights to stakeholders.

Assists with data governance and document retention Develops, implements, and documents data workflows using Smartsheet or similar workflow technologies 'Administers surveys and assists in compiling survey reports

Develops and implements SharePoint sites Documents and trains eCampus staff on how to access and utilize data resources, Student engagement activities, and Student Success Team participation.
4 -
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelors Degree
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and at least one year of experience working directly with data to develop reports, analyze data, or building data applications/workflows. Excellent communication skills and experience presenting findings. Demonstrated experience working with SQL, Excel, Smartsheet (or similar), and Qualtrics/Survey Monkey (or similar).

Proposed Salary
$60,000-$65,000 Annually. Paid on a Monthly Basis.

Ability to analyze, quantify, and present data effectively. Some evening or weekend work is required to meet deadlines.

Consequences of Error:
Errors in analyses may contribute to errors in decision making by leadership and functional units within eCampus and with partners throughout the USG. Potentially, errors could result in the loss of revenue and depreciate the reputation of eCampus and our programs throughout the USG.

Superior written communication skills, including spelling, grammar, and persuasion. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the ability to identify a quick and positive solution, and knowledge of FERPA and student confidentiality requirements.
Office Environment - Work normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
