About the Opportunity

Our client is a rapidly growing FinTech company seeking a proactive, customer-focused Customer Success Manager to manage a portfolio of small business clients.

This is an opportunity to become a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs, helping them navigate payroll, bookkeeping, taxes, and business operations while building long-term customer relationships. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, providing consultative guidance, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You'll Do
  • Manage a portfolio of customers with a focus on retention, satisfaction, and long-term success
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor after onboarding
  • Proactively identify customer needs and resolve issues before they escalate
  • Conduct regular business reviews and strategic check-ins
  • Guide customers on topics including payroll, bookkeeping, estimated taxes, and business compliance
  • Partner with internal teams including accounting, payroll, tax, and operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Maintain accurate customer records and account activity within the CRM
  • Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships through additional services
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Customer Success
    • Account Management
    • Client Services
    • Project Management
  • 2+ years of experience in tax, bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or financial operations
  • Experience working directly with customers in a consultative or advisory capacity
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Comfortable learning new technology and working with CRM systems
  • Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for customers
Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge of small business accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, or tax concepts
  • Experience supporting S Corporations or self-employed business owners
  • Familiarity with platforms such as HubSpot, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Gusto, or similar applications
  • Experience in a startup, fintech, accounting, payroll, or financial services environment is a plus
