Adecco is currently recruiting Associate Technicians for a leading optical manufacturer in St. Petersburg. These positions support the production, coating, and finishing of prescription eyeglasses for optical retailers and require a strong focus on quality, precision, and efficiency.
Position Summary:
Associate Technicians play a key role in the optical lab environment by operating equipment and performing hands-on tasks to produce high-quality prescription lenses. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Schedule & Pay:
Key Responsibilities:
Lens Processing: Operate machinery to surface, polish, and edge lenses according to patient-specific prescriptions.
Blocking & Taping: Secure blocks to lenses using automated equipment and apply protective tape as required.
Coating & Tinting: Load and operate coating machines and apply lens tints per order specifications.
Quality Inspection: Conduct optical and cosmetic inspections of lenses and frames to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
Frame Assembly: Insert lenses into frames, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and finish.
Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain production equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
Qualifications:
Experience: Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; prior experience in optical manufacturing or a production environment is a plus.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to read and interpret lab orders, and commitment to quality.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, work with small and delicate components, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details: $15.00 to $16.00 per hour
