Job description

This position will work closely with senior credit leadership to analyze, underwrite, and evaluate Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Multifamily, and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending opportunities.


The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills, a solid understanding of commercial lending principles, and the ability to assess borrower risk through detailed review of financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral. This role offers excellent exposure to a variety of commercial lending relationships and credit structures while working alongside experienced lending and credit professionals.


Job Requirements

  • Analyze and underwrite Commercial Real Estate, Multifamily, and Commercial/Business loan requests
  • Review loan applications, financial statements, tax returns, rent rolls, appraisal reports, environmental reports, and supporting documentation
  • Evaluate borrower cash flow, collateral, debt service coverage, leverage, and overall credit risk
  • Prepare and review Credit Approval Memorandums (CAMs) and credit presentations for management and credit committee review
  • Perform financial spreading, credit analysis, and risk assessments to support lending decisions
  • Analyze lease agreements, rent rolls, purchase contracts, and loan structures
  • Ensure loan requests comply with bank underwriting guidelines, credit policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate with Loan Officers and customers regarding loan status, documentation requirements, and transaction updates
  • Present loan recommendations and findings to senior credit leadership and lending authorities
  • Identify and communicate material risks, policy exceptions, or concerns during the underwriting process
  • Support ongoing portfolio monitoring and assist with credit quality reviews
  • Assist with special projects, quality control initiatives, and credit-related assignments as needed


Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial credit analysis, underwriting, lending, or related banking experience required
  • Experience analyzing Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Multifamily, or Commercial & Industrial (C&I) loans preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and cash flow evaluation
  • Experience reviewing tax returns, rent rolls, appraisals, and borrower financial documentation
  • Ability to calculate and analyze debt service coverage ratios (DSCR), collateral values, and credit risk metrics
  • Bilingual English and Spanish required
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented banking environment
