We are looking for talented individuals to join our team and help us continue to grow. We have an opportunity for an Entry Level Structural Engineer who is looking to work in a collaborative team environment in our Structural group in Milwaukee, WI. At GRAEF, you will have the opportunity to work with engineers and architects on a wide variety of project types throughout the country, from small to large, and simple to complex. Our work spans both new construction and the analysis and renovation of parking structures, providing team members exposure to a wide variety of project types and engineering challenges. At GRAEF, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced industry leaders, contribute to meaningful projects in the communities we serve, and continue growing both technically and professionally within a respected and growing engineering firm.
For the right candidate, being a member of the GRAEF Structural group will provide opportunities to:
  • Design and analyze structural systems for parking structures.
  • Apply applicable building codes, design standards, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, and construction documents under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist with shop drawing review, submittal review, and RFI responses during construction.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in project meetings.
  • Assist with BIM modeling and drafting in Revit, including drawing production and model coordination with other disciplines.
  • Participate in field investigations, site visits, and existing condition assessments.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on technical excellence, client service, and professional growth.

We are considering entry level Structural Engineer candidates to join our team who possess the following basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis required.
  • Master's degree and EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and having experience in various structural engineering software programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
