Production Employees 1st shift

Nelson Container Corp. is growning fast! NCC, a corrugated box manufacturer in Germantown, seeks experienced press operators/ assistants and general factory workers. This person is physically capable of performing the job and willing to work overtime if necessary. As a dependable worker, this person is on-time and a strong contributor to the team.

This quality driven individual is an observant learner, patient in their approach and proactive in anticipating what needs to be done. Positive, with a “can do” attitude, this person is seen as a hard and productive worker who cares about safety and follows procedures. Respect for coworkers and a willingness to help others is of the utmost importance.

This committed individual must have a: high school/GED education, valid driver’s license, prior work experience, the ability to use a tape measure, basic math skills (add/subtract) fractions, and read drawings. Corrugated experience is a plus! Our preference is this can-do individual is familiar with printing processes, has data entry experience and is forklift certified.

Nelson Container is known as a sheet plant because it converts sheets of corrugated paperboard into finished shipping containers. These containers may be printed with multiple colors, and may be combined with protective inner packing, produced from corrugated material, paperboard cushioning, or foam. Design/Engineering department utilizes an integrated CAD prototype system and maintains a Package Proving Center with a complete International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) Test Lab.
