In this role, this individual will be the first level of the Bankruptcy Claims process and will file claims in bankruptcy estates across the country
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • File proof of claims in bankruptcy courts by performing the following processing tasks as needed:
  • Ensure the information on the claim form is accurate and complete
  • Signing claims as an authorized representative/agent of the Company and Clients
  • Copy claims for record retention purposes
  • Participate in performing quality control validations of data to meet internal and client requirements to ensure proofs of claims are accurate and complete
  • Process and redact client statements to support our claim filing needs as necessary in a secondary role/back-up capacity to Sr. Claims Specialist and or BKY Document Liaison
  • Research missing bankruptcy data in PACER to ensure all case information is properly updated in our system
  • Assist with any necessary post claim documents (Amending Claims, etc.) to assist with business operations for DCMS and Forte
  • Understand and adhere to Company information, security and privacy responsibilities as detailed in the Information Resource Usage Policy, Employee Manual, and client-specific publications
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Entry-level working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated the ability to successfully manage a dual-contributor role that requires frequent shifting between an independent contributor environment and active participation in a team-orientated role
  • Ability to problem-solve claims issues when notified of opportunities via work queues, email and direct contact with management
  • Displays strong attention to detail - thorough, organized and performs quality work and maintains a high standard for accuracy
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal on a consistent basis and as a team member.
