Job description

Respiratory Therapist
Up to $20,000 sign on bonus!
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in Ohio. As a vital part of our medical staff, you will play a key role in the evaluation, treatment, and management of patients with respiratory conditions. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions, such as asthma, COPD, and pneumonia.
  • Administer therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physical therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Perform diagnostic tests like pulmonary function testing (PFTs) and blood gas analysis.
  • Work closely with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques, smoking cessation, and managing chronic respiratory issues.
  • Respond to emergencies and assist in life-saving procedures, including Code Blue situations.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for entry-level candidates.
  • Active state licensure in Ohio.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and skills in respiratory care.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments, including emergency and critical care settings.
