Overview

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
Some experience in transportation construction preferred. Experience may be in the following sectors: federal, state, municipal, ports or marina projects.

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES:

Project assignments including on-site representation of client, preparation of project documentation, cost estimating, scheduling, plan review, research of records, quality control/quality assurance inspection and materials testing and oversight. May perform a review of project records, schedules, and as-built construction to evaluate change orders and requests for extension of time. Independently apply techniques and analyze for problems and methods. Ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Receive training, participation in company activities, and administrative duties. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.


FE/EIT preferred. Knowledge of engineering principles of construction management and project controls. Knowledge of one of the following services: critical path method scheduling, cost estimating, project budgeting, delay analysis, constructibility and design review, inspections, quantity take-offs. Must possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, CADD, graphics, writing capabilities, and ability to work independently.

Ability to obtain and maintain industry certifications specific to duties assigned.

    Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence related to the work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to maintain favorable public relations.
  • Able to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain.

GUIDANCE/RESPONSIBILITY:

Work is closely supervised.

SUPERVISORY:

Ability to supervise assistants in technical/administrative roles.

STATUS: Full-time

The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $74,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on work location, qualifications, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
