Volt is immediately hiring a entry level Controls Engineer in San Diego, CA.

As a Controls Engineer, you will:

  • Assist in the selection of electrical hardware and placement of components within the control panel layout.
  • Creation of assembly drawings, accurate/timely bill of materials and manufacturing floor support for assembly and testing operations.
  • Development and improvement of manufacturing processes and procedures, and resolution of technical and manufacturing problems.
  • In concert with Controls Engineers, the incumbent frequently assists to select and specify components through communication with customers and suppliers
  • Prepare and release drawings.

This is a full-time temp to hire opportunity with growth potential.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am - 5pm plus overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
  • Must have a verifiable 2.8 GPA or higher to qualify
  • Educational based exposure to electrical equipment design and controls application preferred
  • Interest in electrical equipment design and layout of electrical equipment using CAD based systems 
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test
  • Must be local to the San Diego area 

Pay Rate: $32.00 Per Hour
