 This entry-level, contract position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive medical practice environment while providing quality care to our patients.

As a Locum MD in Rheumatology, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients with various musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions. You will work collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and contribute to our goal of advancing medical excellence in the community. 

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient evaluations and medical assessments
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for rheumatology conditions
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding conditions and treatments
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records
  • Stay updated on advancements in rheumatology
  • Participate in clinical meetings and discussions
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Oregon
  • Knowledge of rheumatologic disorders and treatment methodologies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Basic proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems

·      Schedule: 8a-5p, 7 days a month

·      Call Requirement: 24-hour shifts

·      Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

·      Patient Volume: ~8 per day, ~2-3 new patients per day and 4-5 follow-up visits

·      Case Types: JIA, chronic muscular pain, SLE, JDM, and other rheumatology diagnoses

·      EMR: Epic

·      Dictation: Dragon

·      Board certification required

·      Paid travel & expenses
