Job description

Overview
Tecolote Research, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Earned Value (EV) / Schedule Analyst to support program and project scheduling activities for Department of War (DOW) clients. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals with 0-3 years of experience. The selected candidate will work under close supervision to assist in developing and maintaining detailed earned value reports, project schedules, and supporting the overall program planning process.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
  • Coordinate Earned Value Management (EVM) analyses.
  • Develop processes and standards for collecting, tracking, analyzing, and disseminating cost and schedule data.
  • Review schedule execution metrics and schedule risk analyses.
  • Generate comprehensive at-completion cost estimates.
  • Prepare formal reports and briefs.
  • Ensure adequate processes are in place to assess contractor's EVM systems compliance to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and timely.
  • Prepare written contract data requirement line items (Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis Report, Contract Work Breakdown Structure, Contract Funds Status Reports).
  • Advise members of Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) on cost, schedule, and performance trends.
  • Brief EV and Schedule analyses as required.
  • Report any significant EV and Schedule issues and recommend appropriate actions to resolve the issue.
  • Coordinate and participate in Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs).
  • Salary range: $50,000-$75,000 depending on experience and qualifications

Skills Required
Required Skills/Experience:
  • 0-3 years of applicable experience in earned value, scheduling, project planning, or related analytical support roles.
  • Basic understanding of earned value and project scheduling principles, WBS development, and schedule performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Exposure to federal government/Defense environments.
  • Familiarity with earned value, scheduling, and database tools (e.g., wInsight Analytics, Empower, Microsoft Project, OpenPlan, MS Access, or similar).
  • Understanding of the US DOW Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process or experience supporting government programs.
