Job description

Grants Pass Automotive is seeking an Entry level Service Technician to join our team. This Technician will:ย 

  • Perform fluid services including oil changes, flushes, and top-offs.
  • Conduct tire maintenance including rotations, balancing, and replacements.
  • Execute safety inspections on brakes, batteries, wiper blades, and lights.
  • Maintain shop cleanliness by keeping bays organized and hazard-free.
  • Drive customer vehicles safely in and out of the service lanes

We pay for on going training, We would like someone with either 2 years experience in the automotive industry or some with a automotive associates degree. This position will work Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. Employee will be off Saturday and Sunday. Pay starts at $19.00 DOE.ย

Responsibilities

  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.ย 
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunctions and perform repairs correctly the first time.
  • Communicate with Parts Department effectively parts needed for repairs.
  • Examine vehicle and communicate with Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed.
  • Adheres to factory requirements for parts under warranty.
  • Road tests vehicles when required to duplicate concern and/or verify repair
  • Document all work on repair order.
  • Performs multi-point inspection
  • Participates in manufacturer sponsored training programs.
  • Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
  • Available to work some weekends
  • Positive attitude
  • Clean driving record
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
