JOB TITLE: Entry Level Machinist
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Tool amp; Die Supervisor
LOCATION: Broken Arrow, OK
ENTRY LEVEL MACHINIST SUMMARY
Da/Pro Rubber is seeking an entry level Machinist to join our Tool amp; Die team. In this role, you will machine, build, repair, and maintain compression molds, tooling, fixtures, and production equipment used in the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys precision work, and takes pride in producing high-quality components that support our production operations.
ENTRY LEVEL MACHINIST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manufacture new compression molds and tooling components.
  • Repair and refurbish existing molds to maintain production quality and efficiency.
  • Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and other conventional machine tools.
  • Assist with machining operations on machining centers as needed.
  • Perform preventative and corrective mold maintenance.
  • Measure and inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Identify defects, wear, or damage on mold components and recommend corrective actions.
  • Complete required documentation related to repairs, rework, inspections, and nonconforming parts.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality departments to resolve tooling issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
ENTRY LEVEL MACHINIST QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience operating manual mills and lathes.
  • Ability to safely use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and work orders.
