Quality Technician - 1st Shift
Hours: 7:00am-3:30PM M-F
Pay: $25.30 per hour and a $1,000.00, 90-day probation completion bonus.
Reports to: This position reports to the plant Quality Supervisor and additional reporting to Quality Manager and Plant Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform inspection and tests precisely as described in the applicable procedures and work instructions. This includes proper and safe sample collection and their preparation.
  • Proper use and maintenance of lab instruments and test equipment including the verification their calibration status prior to use.
  • Accurately perform electronic data entry of test results.
  • Understand and interpret test and inspection results and communicate issues to management in a time manner.
  • Performs inventory cycle counts as needed.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure reliable and precise test results and accurate record keeping.
  • Understand and follow good laboratory practices; proper care and use of lab equipment, work in a safe manner, understand the location, purpose and use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required with a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience, with experience working in a manufacturing facility preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in a Quality Lab strongly preferred
  • Entry level computer skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Must be able to work in a laboratory environment
