Job Title: Systems Analyst
Responsibilities:

  • Understands business objectives and problems
  • Identifies alternative solutions
  • Performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives
  • Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer system
  • Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to:
    • Analyze current operational procedures
    • Identify problems
    • Learn specific input and output requirements, such as:
      • Forms of data input
      • How data is to be summarized
      • Formats for reports
  • Writes detailed description of:
    • User needs
    • Program functions
    • Steps required to develop or modify computer program
  • Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system
SHARP Responsibilities:
  • Contractor will support the State Health Analytics Reporting Platform (SHARP) by creating data pipelines, dashboards and reports using Informatica IICS, Tableau or PowerBI as determined by the business requirements
  • Contractor will:
    • Translate business requirements into data pipelines and Tableau/PowerBI reports
    • Work with the program staff to ensure it meets the needs of the customer
    • Participate in testing of pipelines, reports and dashboards to ensure proper function
    • Work with coworkers to publish and promote the reports as needed
  • Experience with Informatica ETL tools strongly preferred
Schedule / Location:
  • 2 days remote, 3 days on site (Tues, Wed & Fri)
  • Candidates must be local to the Austin area (within 50-mile radius)
  • Subject to change per hiring manager or as needed
