Job description

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings LLC, is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst 2 to support our government customer located in Kaua`i, Hawai'i.
Support accreditation activity efforts by coordinating with Koa Lani IT Department, PMRF C-ISSM/C-ISSO, ISO and other Government personnel. Monitor and coordinate implementation of IAVM, Patches, STIG, etc.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
  • Support the cyber security program by implementing and maintaining Cybersecurity control in accordance with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), including conducting vulnerability assessments, managing Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), ensuring STIG compliance, and maintaining system authorization artifacts.
  • Performs activities related to RMF Assessment Authorization (A&A) Process and other policies for the administration and safeguarding of US and foreign Government classified and unclassified information as it pertains to networks, standalone computer systems, and data encryption.
  • Can accurately perform security tasks required by the 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-37, DoD 8500.1 DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process, DOD Instruction 8510.01 Risk Management Framework for DoW Systems.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Office conditions are varied and include physical tasks such as lifting, pushing or pulling up to 10 pounds. Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, sitting or standing for extended periods of time, crawling, kneeling, stooping or cramped working places and work requiring repeated or frequent climbing. Environment will include customer contact, extended workdays, confined work area and in an office laboratory workspace.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • Associate's degree (High School Diploma with four (4) years of directly related Cyber Security experience may be substituted for an A.S. degree.)
  • DoD 8570/8140: IAM I

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
One (1) year of cybersecurity experience
REQUIRED SECURITY AND CLEARANCE:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)

COMPENSATION DETAILS:
  • $100,000.00
  • The compensation range or hourly rate provided is a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and applicable laws.
