OverviewProvide Telecommunications department with the following skills and services: Develop, install, modify and maintain hospital wide telephony system using industry accepted tools or precedures to accomplish. Able to work independant of technical vendor and achieve maximum system featurability and functionality. Investigate problems/malfunctions and resolve operational issues working to determine corrective action plan to maintain a viable and productive environment. Monitor total system performance and capacities, identify and obtain approval and implement improvements to optimize system productivity. Define, know and follow procedures/standards and provide appropriate documentation for each application in production system. Recommend new standards where applicable. Work with IS staff and end-user professionals in an on-going development and support of core and remote modular business systems. Document and train staff and end-users on easy to follow features and functionality of the telephony applications and phone system.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, install, test and maintain hospital wide telephony system using industry accepted tools or procedures to accomplish. Promote and achieve optimum system usability and customer reliability through effective processes and thorough documentation. Investigate problems, malfunctions in the core or remote modular system(s). Works with other team members and or vendor personnel and determine corrective action to maintain a viable and productive environment Work with IS staff, end-users and system owners to test and modify the telephony applications (i.e.. ACD design, auto-outward or predictive dialing) and resolve operational issues, working with key stake holders and vendor team to obtain sign-off on solutions before implementing. Monitor total system performance and capacities, identify, obtain approval, and implement improvements to optimize system productivity. Define, know and follow procedures and standards and provide appropriate documentation per established standards and recommend new standards where applicable. Take on a number of different tasks simultaneously and complete projects on time. Work with team of IS and end-user professionals in the ongoing development and support of core and remote modular business systems. Rotation through on-call schedule with other telecom members is expected. Maintain strong and professional communications with Operations Manager as well as other team/staff members to ensure a productive and cooperative environment. Adapts communication style to the particular situation or audience.QualificationsTwo years in telecommunications with high level public contact required. Possess telecommunications knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to own multiple projects and manage them to completion, meeting time sensitive timelines etc.Competencies Skills
