About the role
  • The Pharmacist is responsible for safely dispensing prescription medications and providing clinical expertise to patients and healthcare professionals. This role supports medication therapy management, conducts wellness services such as immunizations and screenings, and ensures full compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations. The pharmacist also contributes to medication safety, staff training, and maintaining a clean, compliant pharmacy environment.
What you\'ll do
  • Review and interpret physician orders; compound, label, and dispense medications safely.
  • Monitor drug therapies and provide patient counseling and clinical intervention recommendations.
  • Direct and verify pharmacy techniciansโ€™ workflow, medication preparation, and order accuracy.
  • Maintain compliant records, manage controlled substances, and uphold all state/federal regulations (Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA).
  • Support immunizations, wellness screenings, and other patient-facing clinical services.
  • Educate healthcare staff, students, and interns through training and participation in clinical programs.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and infection-controlled pharmacy environment while contributing to team goals.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
  • Current pharmacist license in good standing with the Utah State Board of Pharmacy.
