ABOUT THE JOB:

The Material Handler is responsible for cleaning, preparing modular &  storage units, offices, and modular buildings for rental or delivery. This entry-level role supports warehouse operations, maintains a safe and organized yard, and assists with Value Added Products & Services (VAPS) as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Sweep, hose out, and clean storage units, offices, and modular buildings.
  • Clean windows, blinds, doors, floors, and walls.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the yard is free of debris and hazards.

Warehouse & Yard Operations

  • Inspect and document units/offices for repair or re-lease.
  • Tag units as ready to rent (“green tagged”) or needing further repairs (“red tagged”).
  • Replenish supplies and maintain inventory of equipment/tools/parts needed for service tasks.
  • Assist in ordering materials and unloading deliveries.
  • May operate company vehicles and maintain a valid driver’s license.

VAPS (Value Added Products & Services)

  • Support installation and modification of VAPS as requested by customers.
  • Perform check-in/out inspections of buildings, noting damages for invoicing and repair scope.
  • Assist with office maintenance and repair as assigned.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company safety, transportation, and environmental policies.
  • Attend periodic safety meetings and participate in safety checks.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Documentation & Communication

  • Complete paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
  • Document work completed and communicate status to supervisors.
  • Provide courteous customer service as needed.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years’ experience in general labor, warehouse, or entry-level repairs preferred.
  • Basic computer skills for timekeeping and documentation.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or welding experience is a plus.
