Lube Technician Responsibilities

  • Perform quality work: oil changes, tire rotations, replacing wipers, filters, etc.
  • Data entry and communication with teammates
  • Complete vehicle inspection
  • Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
  • Providing excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s perspective comes first

Qualifications

  • One year lube tech experience preferred, but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Basic computer competencies
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Dexterity: a steady hand & excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Positive, friendly attitude and customer service mentality
  • Previous experience at an automotive dealership a plus

Mid-Level with Opportunity for Paid Training 

  • Responsibilities ALL:

    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on various vehicles.
    • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify potential problems.
    • Keep detailed records of all work performed and completed on vehicles.
    • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Continuously learn and stay updated on new automotive technology and techniques.
    • Diagnose and repair automobile mechanical and electrical issues, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
    • Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations for future maintenance.

    Requirements ALL:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are preferred but not required.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
    • Attention to detail and ability to accurately diagnose and repair vehicles.
    • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
    • Must have own tools.
