Are you ready to bring your design expertise to a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are seeking a talented CAD Designer to play a pivotal role in transforming concepts into reality. In this exciting position, you'll be instrumental in creating and refining the detailed technical drawings and models that underpin our innovative products, directly impacting our ability to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create and modify CAD models and engineering drawings for various projects.
  • Support engineering and manufacturing teams through comprehensive drafting and design activities.
  • Prepare and maintain project design layouts, production drawings, and related documentation, adhering to industry standards and considering manufacturing methods and tolerances.
  • Assist with tolerance analysis and implement drawing updates as needed.
  • Prepare mechanical layouts using CAD systems.
  • Develop and maintain complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic product and production drawings from layouts, sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • Ensure the accuracy of design assignments.
  • Understand and apply drafting methods, standards, and procedures.
  • Possess foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic product design.
  • Maintain status reports for all assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and research & development teams to enhance and standardize existing and future designs.
  • Engage in hands-on activities such as assembly/disassembly, inspection, measuring, and reverse engineering to create models and drawings.
  • Troubleshoot complex tooling, equipment, and process issues, developing manufacturing methods to improve safety, quality, and delivery while reducing costs.
  • Ensure the timely completion of all drafting projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Entry-level experience in CAD design or drafting.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Autodesk Inventor.
  • Basic CAD drafting and design experience.
  • Proficiency in creating and modifying engineering drawings and models.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive willingness to learn.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice to Have Qualifications
  • Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Experience performing tolerance studies.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 drafting standards.
  • Relevant training, coursework, certification, technical degree, or documented experience in CAD design or drafting.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
