Job description

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Quality Assurance Clerk. Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to join a stable and reputable manufacturing company of engineered mechanical components.
The Quality Assurance Clerk compiles and maintains the records of orders and related files; releases blueprints, drawings and engineering documents to manufacturing and other operating departments.
  • Responds to requests for reproduction of documents as required.
  • Scans completed job routers and quality packets into the internal document management system.
  • Establishes and maintains filing systems.
  • Enter information into computer to complete forms, prepare correspondence, and update spreadsheets or databases.
  • Proofreads records or forms for completeness and inspects router packets.
  • Sorts and files records manually and electronically.
  • Scans and photocopies documents.
  • Verifies completeness and accuracy of data on blueprints, drawings, change orders and specifications.
  • Confers with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and makes required changes to documents.
  • Posts changes to computerized or manually controlled records, releases revised documents and notifies affected departments.
  • Archives obsolete documents.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience/training.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Experience utilizing MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Experience with ERP/MRP systems a plus.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Critical thinking skills, self-motivated and process driven
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with internal and external customers.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
