Job description


Associate SCADA Engineer

We are seeking an Associate SCADA Engineer to join our growing SCADA team. This entry-level role is ideal for a motivated early-career engineer who is eager to build hands-on experience in SCADA systems and industrial controls. You will work alongside senior engineers and project leads to support the development, commissioning, and maintenance of SCADA applications for live projects.

This role offers strong mentorship, exposure to real-world systems, and opportunities to grow technically and professionally within the controls and automation industry.

What You Will Do

  • Implement established standards to develop Ignition Perspective views
  • Assist in commissioning and testing SCADA screens, alarms, and trends for active projects
  • Troubleshoot basic HMI/SCADA issues under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Collaborate with project leads to identify and resolve bugs and system issues
  • Instantiate and configure UDTs (User Defined Types) in accordance with project standards
  • Work closely with the graphic design team to translate UI/UX standards into functional Ignition applications
  • Support the creation and maintenance of process and project documentation
  • Participate in pull request (PR) reviews and follow established development workflows

Qualifications

Experience

0–2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • PLC or HMI programming or troubleshooting
  • HVAC or building automation controls
  • Industrial networking (VLANs, firewalls, industrial protocols)
  • Low-voltage electrical installation
  • Front-end development
  • Scripting or software development (Python, Java, database languages, or front-end frameworks)

Education

Bachelor’s or Associate degree (or equivalent experience) in one of the following fields:

  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • Industrial Engineering
