Job TitleAV TechnicianJob Description SummaryThe AV Technician supports daily audiovisual operations across multiple buildings, including equipment setup, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and basic repairs for meetings, events, and conference spaces.Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Support daily AV meetings and events across assigned facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with builtin and portable AV equipment.
  • Set up portable sound systems, projectors, monitors, and related equipment.
  • Prepare conference rooms, including arranging tables and chairs.
  • Follow directions, learn new systems quickly, and maintain a professional, motivated work style.
  • Work independently or collaboratively with team members.
  • Lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Use basic hand tools for installation and support of lowvoltage devices.
  • Safely use ladders up to 10 feet in height.
  • Accurately interpret color and audio tone during troubleshooting and installation tasks.

Skills & Knowledge

Experience is a plus, but this is an entrylevel friendly role for candidates willing to learn.

  • Basic understanding of audiovisual systems or strong interest in AV technology.
  • General computer knowledge and familiarity with video conferencing platforms.
  • Exposure to or willingness to learn equipment such as Crestron, Cisco, ClearOne, and similar systems.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings (or willingness to learn).
  • Understanding of or interest in lowvoltage cabling systems, including:
    • Speaker wiring
    • Computer networking
    • Sensor/relay integration
  • Awareness of safe construction practices and secure mounting methods for AV equipment.

Other Duties

Responsibilities may evolve or be assigned as needed to support facility operations.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $21.25 - $25.00
