The IT Desktop Support Technician will contribute to the successful implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of IT systems across projects. In this role, the IT Desktop Support Technician will collaborate with local project management to provide technical expertise and ensure that IT operations align with project and client requirements. The incumbent will play a critical role in managing IT security policies, resolving IT service tickets, and supporting the daily operations of the IT infrastructure. In this role, the IT Professional will maintain accurate hardware and software inventories, providing hands-on support for PCs, mobile devices, peripherals, and network infrastructure, and mentoring other IT technicians.

This position also requires occasional travel to project sites to provide on-site support, hands-on troubleshooting, and participation in surge efforts to meet customer and operational demands. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively support a fast-paced IT environment. This position is onsite and requires US Citizenship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with local project management to provide IT support and develop requirements for existing and upcoming projects.

  • Work with existing project IT security policy and procedure to ensure client requirements are being met, draft changes and/or new policy and procedure for review as needed.

  • Contribute to the daily workflow of tickets, assisting with the triaging of tickets to the appropriate queues and technicians within the IT ticketing system.

  • Work through effective resolution of all assigned and self-assigned tickets in coordination with daily IT ticketing activities and projects.

  • Assist with the successful administration of information systems under the direction of the IT Director and IT Manager.

  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory.

  • Install, configure, and maintain PCs, mobile devices, and peripherals (such as printers).

  • Assist and mentor other IT techs as needed.

  • Terminate, test, and troubleshoot voice, video, and data infrastructure.

  • Contribute, participate, and assist in the planning of customer surge support efforts

  • Occasional travel to project sites for hands-on support as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Analytical and have problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and follow through with multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work, and a keen eye for aesthetics.

  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory Domain Controllers.

  • Knowledge of AV/VTC hardware, software, and network connections and setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer information Systems, Engineering, system science discipline or related field. Two years of experience can be substituted for each year of the college degree.

  • Typically, three years' experience in IT related field to include experience as a full-service IT support team member in a Windows AD environment.

  • Experience working within an IT support team and able to contribute and collaborate in daily support activity.

Compensation Details:

$65k - 75k
