Btrust Supermarket Head Office is currently looking for full-time IT System Administrator to join our team in Oakville. These openings are available immediately.

Job Summary

Reporting to the IT Manager, the System and Network Administrator is responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, maintaining and monitoring all network activities and equipment in achieving a secure, reliable, efficient and effective network infrastructure and system.

Responsibilities and Duties

ยท Plan, design and develop the company computer networks and systems

ยท Maintain network infrastructure and network equipment efficiency and reliability, security and integrity

ยท Install, configure, manage and maintain networks, computer workstations and peripheral equipment

ยท Monitor and improve computer networks and systems performance

ยท Identify and resolve computer network and systems issues

ยท Develop and document network standards, procedures, and specifications

ยท Provide problem-solving services to network users

ยท Perform routine network start up and close and maintain control records.

ยท Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.

ยท Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet

ยท Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance

ยท Knowledge of POS hardware and integration points between hardware and POS software, provide maintenance when needed

ยท Keep track with office and stores computer hardware, provide maintain when needed

ยท Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

ยท Possess 2 years or more experiences in network administrator role

ยท Possess advanced knowledge in IP networking, routing, switching

ยท Experience in designing, deploying and maintaining LAN/WAN/WLAN/VLAN and key network services

ยท Experience in managing MS Windows and Linux based systems (Active Directory, windows server 2012, windows server2016, office 365 etc.)

ยท Experience writing SQL Query, Stored Procedures and Scheduling Job

ยท Knowledge in designing secure networks, systems and application architectures

ยท Knowledge in retail POS System, familiar with L-BOSS System would be an asset

ยท Experience in managing wireless, VoIP would be an asset

ยท Service oriented and good interpersonal skills

ยท Highly effective project management skills

ยท Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and responsiveness in completing tasks

ยท Working experience in supermarket or retail company would be an asset

ยท Must be able to communicate in English and Chinese.
