Job Description
Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a qualified Information Technologist I - Information Management Officer (IMO) to support the United States Army Fires Center of Excellence (USAFCoE), Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) office. The Information Technologist I - Information Management Officer (IMO) will provide technical and administrative coordination of all customer and Contractor generated IT work orders through the work order system, which is currently Army Enterprise Service Management Platform (AESMP).
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide client administration for Microsoft desktop and laptop systems, including registering devices in the installation software/asset management application.
  • Establish, maintain, and delete Microsoft Intune accounts and troubleshoot client systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user or client application and configuration problems by phone, remote control, and on-site visits.
  • Maintain local operating systems and client application software to current Army configuration, service pack, patch, and security standards.
  • Perform desktop baseline and email troubleshooting and coordinate standard system image configuration changes.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop applications; configure standard Army application systems and authorized commercial or government client software.
  • Perform commercial hardware repair on computer systems and assist system administrators with testing of client applications and security patches.
  • Create and update documentation such as continuity books and prepare technical documentation and configuration change requests.
  • Use the Army Enterprise Service Desk system to create, modify, update, and resolve incident tickets; communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users at all levels.
  • Provide daily on-site tier-one support for installed classroom audiovisual equipment, including TEAMS video conferencing in Fires Classroom Program classrooms.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in information systems/computer science or a related field, or three (3) years of technically related field experience in desktop support or network administration.
  • At least two years of client support experience in a Microsoft Windows-based environment and ability to maintain Computing Environment training as the command migrates to newer releases.
  • Experience providing client support for users on Microsoft Windows network operating systems in a Microsoft Intune environment using Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Outlook, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage, Access).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience resolving desktop issues; knowledge of PC imaging, connectivity, remote printer setup, and troubleshooting email systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve computer hardware/software issues remotely and implement system security (manage passwords, establish user/group accounts, manage file permissions).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users and work well with others.
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN/Internet connectivity and advanced knowledge of TCP/IP protocols.
  • Must obtain and maintain Computing Environment training for operating systems and security tools.
  • Ability to lift/carry equipment up to 50 pounds and support on-site audiovisual tasks as required.
