Are you ready to help shape the future of Diagnostic Imaging? Health Shared Services is seeking an IT Analyst II to join our Imaging Informatics Team, supporting Medical Imaging services across the province. In this role, you'll work with innovative technologies and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the systems that healthcare providers rely on every day. As part of this team, you'll support critical Medical Imaging applications and systems, including ECGs, X-rays, Ultrasounds, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine, CT scans, and clinical documents. You'll play a key role in supporting and enhancing technologies that enable healthcare teams across the province to access, manage, and share diagnostic information effectively, helping to improve patient care and outcomes. This is more than a technical role. It's an opportunity to contribute to the technology and systems that support Medical Imaging and Clinical Content systems across Alberta. Your technical expertise will help enhance, maintain, and evolve critical imaging applications and infrastructure, enabling reliable access to diagnostic information and supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare. Description:

As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2-5 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, healthcare IT systems, or complex technical environments. Experience translating business and user requirements into effective software workflows and solutions. Strong understanding of software technologies, system integrations, and emerging industry trends. Proven ability to lead and collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong customer service, communication, and relationship management skills. Experience in application administration, systems analysis, configuration, troubleshooting, and support. Working knowledge of server infrastructure, databases, networking, and integrated systems. Experience supporting vendor applications and managing incidents, problems, and change requests. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven success working in collaborative, team-based environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with: DICOM and HL7 messaging standards. Imaging application support. Radiology/Cardiology workflows. Healthcare information systems. Connect Care (Epic), specifically Radiant, Cupid, or Lumens modules. IntelliSpace Cardiovascular PACS (ISCV). Enterprise Document Management Systems.
