Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level IT Support Technician to assist with day-to-day technology needs across our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in Information Technology while gaining hands-on experience with computer hardware, software, networking, and general office technology support.
The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a positive attitude who enjoys helping others and is comfortable handling a variety of technical and non-technical tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and deploy desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and other office equipment.
- Install and update software applications and operating systems.
- Assist employees with basic technical issues and troubleshooting.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
- Organize and maintain IT inventory, equipment, and supplies.
- Perform routine maintenance on company devices and workstations.
- Assist with office moves, workstation setups, and equipment relocation.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers when necessary.
- Document technical procedures and support requests.
- Support conference room technology, video conferencing systems, and office AV equipment.
- Perform miscellaneous administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
- Provide general ad hoc support to various departments as business needs arise.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to 40 lbs.).
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and skills.
Preferred
- Associate degree or coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with computer hardware and troubleshooting.
- Experience setting up computers, printers, or networking equipment.
- CompTIA A+ certification (or willingness to obtain).
