Data Center Material Handler | Mesa, AZ

Nexeo HR is hiring Data Center Material Handler to support a global logistics and supply chain company’s high-tech data center in Mesa, AZ. Responsibilities

Loading and unloading of inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers including the management of shipping documents and records.

Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight, checking for accurate part numbers, quantities, and ensuring material is in pristine condition.

Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts onsite at the data center.

Process return shipments of various electronic components utilizing multiple warehouse management systems.

Oversee and perform the placement of computer server racks on the data center floor utilizing laser measuring devices with 100% accuracy.

Oversee and perform the population of electronic components and install cabling into server racks by following provided diagrams and schematics.

Install rack hardware using various hand, power, and precise measuring tools.

Operate various types of material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers, and electric pallet jacks.

Cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to 5s standards.

Push, pull, lift (up to 50 lbs), stand, walk, bend throughout duration of workday.


Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in data center operations, IT hardware assembly, electronics production, inventory control, high-volume logistics, or similar environment.

Must pass a 10-year national background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Strong computer skills or high technical aptitude.

Hands-on experience building, assembling, or repairing computers, server racks, or other electronics preferred, but not required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.

Familiarity with Inventory Mgt software, RF scanners, and WMS systems.

CompTIA A+ or similar IT certification(s) are a plus but not required.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow technical instructions and diagrams.

Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk throughout duration of shift.

Reliable transportation and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.


Pay

$19.50 per hour

Automatic $1.00 pay raise after permanent hire ($20.50 per hour)

Schedule

Day Shift | Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Must be willing & available to work overtime as needed.

Typical OT Hours:

•Weekdays: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM

•Saturdays: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Mandatory)
