DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS This is an entry level professional classification in the information technology job family. Performs a wide range of work diagnosing and fixing technical issues, managing computer systems, and aiding users with technology-related concerns.

The work entails adhering to established procedures, applying knowledge to deliver solutions, and accumulating valuable experience in the process. Essential Duties, Knowledge and Skills ESSENTIAL DUTIES The following are intended to describe core work functions of this classification. While the level and broad nature of essential duties may not change, specific work tasks will vary over time depending on the Town's needs.

Provide essential first- and second-level desktop support, resolving user issues promptly. Manage online ticketing systems efficiently for streamlined issue resolution. Oversee the employee cell phone program, including inventory maintenance and issue troubleshooting.

Perform critical web administration duties to ensure smooth online operations. Maintain meticulous records to document essential work performed and ensure accuracy. Escalate unresolved issues promptly to higher authorities for timely resolution.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues across computer hardware, software, and peripherals. Maintain and update computer systems, including essential operating systems and software applications. Deliver vital technical support and assistance to employees, addressing technology-related problems effectively.
