Launch Your Electronics Career in a High-Tech Environment
Kelly® is hiring entry-level Electronics Test and Assembly Technicians for an exciting direct-hire opportunity at a brand-new manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This is more than an assembly job. You’ll help build, test, and inspect advanced radio communication technology designed to remain operational when traditional infrastructure is unavailable. These products primarily support military applications, along with other industries that rely on secure, dependable communication.

If you build computers, repair electronics, enjoy technical hobbies, or are simply curious about how technology works, you’ll have an opportunity to bring that interest to work every day.
DIRECT HIRE
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30am-3pm
Work Environment: Fully onsite in a clean, organized, air-conditioned facility
Compensation
  • $18.75 per hour with a high school diploma or GED
  • $20.75 per hour with a bachelor’s degree
  • Quarterly performance bonus opportunities
6-8 Weeks of Hands-On Training in Los Angeles
New employees will begin with approximately 6-8 weeks of training at the company’s California facility.
  • Fly to Los Angeles on Sunday evening
  • Begin onboarding at 8:30 AM on Monday
  • Complete orientation, HR meetings, training videos, and a facility tour
  • Participate in hands-on technical training Tuesday through Friday
  • Fly home for the weekend
  • Return to California to complete the second week of training
This training provides the opportunity to learn directly from an established team before transitioning into the new Salt Lake City operation.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Testing sensitive electronic assemblies and printed circuit boards
  • Completing final assembly and inspection of advanced radio communication products
  • Performing system testing and production quality-control testing
  • Using tweezers, screwdrivers, bolt drivers, torque wrenches, and other precision hand tools
  • Following detailed work instructions, testing procedures, and quality requirements
  • Entering assembly, testing, and production information into computer systems
  • Using programs such as Oracle, Excel, and Google Workspace
  • Preparing daily reports and communicating results to the production team
  • Identifying product or process concerns and escalating them to leadership or engineering
  • Performing basic soldering and working with small electronic components
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workstation
  • Supporting continuous-improvement efforts involving product quality, efficiency, and workflow
This Position May Be a Great Fit If You
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Enjoy technology, electronics, computers, gaming systems, radios, or building and repairing equipment
  • Are confident using computers and comfortable learning new software
  • Have strong manual dexterity and enjoy working with small components
  • Can use basic hand tools, including tweezers and torque-controlled tools
  • Have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Can accurately follow written work instructions and testing procedures
  • Are comfortable completing detailed computer-based documentation
  • Communicate effectively and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team
  • Can manage multiple tasks without sacrificing quality
  • Can lift up to 25 pounds and move throughout laboratory and production areas
  • Are comfortable working Monday–Friday from 4:00 AM–12:30 PM
  • Are able to complete approximately two weeks of training in Los Angeles
Preferred—but Not Required—Experience
  • Electronics assembly, testing, manufacturing, or quality control
  • Printed circuit boards or sensitive electronic components
  • Soldering or desoldering
  • Linux-based systems
  • Oracle, Excel, or Google Workspace
  • Building, repairing, or upgrading computers or electronic devices
Candidates may complete a brief soldering assessment during the interview process. Perfection is not expected—you simply need to demonstrate basic fundamentals and explain your process.
