Job Description

Coffman Engineers is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry Level Electrical Engineer for our LA - Woodland Hills office. The ideal candidate should have a desire to work and grow as a team player within a multi-discipline engineering firm. 

Compensation and Benefits

  • Approximate Base Salary - $75,000 - $90,000+ based on experience
  • Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
  • Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
  • Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)
  • 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field (with emphasis in power engineering preferred)
  • Strong passion for or previous experience in the AEC (architectural, engineering and construction) industry
  • Ability to research applicable codes in National Electrical Code, California Building Code, etc
  • Report daily project status updates to senior engineer or project manager
  • Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight
  • Ability to work and collaborate in larger project teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registration as an E.I.T.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Power, lighting, communications design, and layouts utilizing Revit and/or AutoCAD knowledge
  • Awareness of, or experience with, load calculations, branch circuiting, voltage drop, short circuit calculations and photometric calculations
  • Exposure to power system analysis software such as SKM, etap, etc.

  • Must be a self-starter who is able to see the big picture and connect the vision of the company with his/her job, be persistent, and follow through in a consistent manner.
  • Passionate about the client or pursuit and takes ownership of his/her work.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
