JOB DESCRIPTION

Office Assistantswill support and assist the Office Manager by completing daily office functions.


Essential Functions

  • Assist with daily administrative work and other officefunctions, including without limitation by example: coding and processinginvoices, completing daily sales report, responding to restaurant emails,reconciling credit card log, and maintaining and organizing employee files
  • Count, balance and par banks accurately on a daily basis
  • Process deposit and change orders accurately and accordingto procedure
  • Process tip distributions, record as required and ensuretip reporting compliance
  • Reconcile gift cards on a daily basis
  • Process new hires, terminations and employee reviews inHRIS
  • Issue and redeem Frequent Diner points according to therules of the program
  • Maintain employee time records to ensure employees arecompensated appropriately and timely
  • Handle guest, vendor and employee calls, questions andissues
  • Take all reservations promptly and courteously
  • Maintain organization of the office, supplies and equipment
  • Ascompared with the Assistants in this position, Coordinators generally bringgreater, more advanced and/or more specialized experience (internal and/orexternal), expertise and/or qualifications to the role. Additionally,Coordinators may provide higher-level assistance and coordination support tolarger and/or more complex teams and/or operations (including, for exampleonly, entry-level project management and budget oversight) and, under thesupervision of one or more managers, may assign or delegate tasks to one ormore Assistants.
  • Availableto work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary toolsand equipment
  • Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform andfollow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy,stressful environment
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise andtemperature levels
  • Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently moveand/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift and move safelythrough all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slicksurfaces

  • Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectationsand anticipate guests' needs
  • Greet guests with a warm, sincere smile
  • Use tact and good judgement when dealing with guestchallenges and respond to guest needs with patience and courtesy
  • Proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary toolsand equipment, including Open Table reservations system, Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, etc.), as well as telephone, paging and voicemail systems
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines andprocedures
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions ofemployment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Get along well with others and be a team player
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed
