Location: Los Angeles, CA (Field-Based)

Classification: Full-Time, Outside Sales Exempt

Compensation: $60,000 annual base salary + uncapped commission pursuant to the Company's written commission plan.

Since 2008, Cartel Roasting Co. has been committed to sourcing, roasting, and serving exceptional specialty coffee while building meaningful relationships with the communities we serve. Today, we proudly operate 15 retail locations across Arizona and California and partner with cafรฉs, restaurants, hotels, offices, grocery retailers, and hospitality businesses that share our passion for quality, craftsmanship, and hospitality.


We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused sales professional to help grow our wholesale business throughout California. This is an opportunity to represent an established specialty coffee roaster, build lasting partnerships, and play a key role in expanding the Cartel brand.


The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, thrives in a field-based sales environment, and is passionate about specialty coffee and hospitality. Experience in outside sales is required, and experience within the specialty coffee, beverage, foodservice, or hospitality industries is strongly preferred.


What You'll Do

  • Prospect and develop new wholesale business throughout California.
  • Build and maintain relationships with cafรฉs, restaurants, hotels, offices, grocery retailers, and other hospitality partners.
  • Conduct customer visits, coffee tastings, product demonstrations, trainings, and business meetings.
  • Develop and manage an active sales pipeline while achieving territory growth goals.
  • Prepare proposals, pricing, and onboarding documentation for new wholesale partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful account launches and long-term customer success.
  • Represent Cartel Roasting Co. at industry events, trade shows, community activations, and networking opportunities.
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.


What We're Looking For

  • Outside sales, business development, or account management experience required.
  • Specialty coffee, foodservice, beverage, or hospitality industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Passion for specialty coffee and relationship-based sales.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to develop new business and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
