You'll gain hands-on exposure to multiple areas of business accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and procurement, collections, vendor management, reconciliations and financial recordkeeping.You won't be stuck doing the same task every day. You'll work closely with team members across the organization and have the opportunity to learn how the financial side of a healthcare organization operates from beginning to end.What You'll DoAs our Accounting Specialist, you'll help keep the financial and purchasing operations of the Ranch organized, accurate and moving forward.Your responsibilities will include:Process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable activity.Review invoices for accuracy, proper approvals and supporting documentation.Assist with coding invoices and expenses to the appropriate accounts or departments.Enter and maintain accurate accounting and financial information.Coordinate with vendors regarding invoices, payment questions and account discrepancies.Support procurement and purchasing for the Ranch, including obtaining information from vendors, processing orders and maintaining purchasing documentation.Track purchase orders, invoices, receipts and related records.Assist with vendor setup and maintenance.Monitor outstanding balances and perform timely, professional collection follow-up.Help reconcile invoices, payments, statements and account activity.Investigate discrepancies and work with the appropriate departments to resolve them.Maintain organized electronic and paper financial records.Assist with month-end accounting activities and reporting as assigned.Help monitor department spending and purchasing activity.Support audits by gathering invoices, receipts, approvals and other financial documentation.Work closely with Finance, Operations and department leaders throughout the organization.Protect confidential financial, patient and company information.Jump in and help with other accounting and business-office projects as you grow in the role.Enterhealth already uses structured purchasing and financial controls in its operations, including invoice review, coding, supporting receipts and service documentation, so this position can provide a new graduate with broad practical exposure rather than just one piece of the accounting cycle.Who We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is smart, curious, organized and ready to learn.Preferred qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related fieldRecent graduates are strongly encouraged to applyStrong attention to detail and accuracyComfortable working with numbers and financial informationStrong Excel and general computer skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to organize multiple priorities and meet deadlinesProfessional and comfortable communicating with vendors, employees and leadershipWillingness to ask questions, learn and take ownership of responsibilitiesPrevious accounting, internship, bookkeeping, AP/AR or office experience is a plus - but we are open to the right new graduate who is ready to learn.Why This Is a Great First Accounting JobA lot of entry-level accounting jobs give you one small piece of the process.This one gives you exposure to the whole picture.You'll have the opportunity to learn:Accounting • AP • AR • Collections • Procurement • Vendor Management • Reconciliations • Financial Controls • Healthcare OperationsThat experience can create a very strong foundation for someone beginning a career in accounting or finance.And because you'll be working at our Enterhealth Ranch, you'll also see how Finance connects with Operations and the other teams supporting residential treatment.
