JOB SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, provides entry level technical support in one or more of the following areas: OMAT, maintenance, construction, intermodal, planning, utilities, surveying, environmental or traffic.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES: Under direct supervision, provide entry-level technical support in one or more of the following areas: Maintenance, Construction, Intermodal, Planning, Utilities, Surveying, Environmental or Traffic. Selected applicant will be required to take the Construction Technician test administered by the GA Dept. of Transportation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Minimum Qualifications.

STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  High school diploma or GED

AGENCY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to learn to perform routine support duties for assigned program area (i.e. construction, surveying, traffic operations, lab testing or data collection).

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to learn to operate equipment and/or instruments as required.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to assist in data gathering or collect data as requested.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to perform computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division correctly.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Demonstrates basic math skills (percentages, area of a triangle, trapezoid or circle, volume of a cylinder, rectangular prism, and unit conversions).ย 

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Commitment to providing quality customer service.ย
