Job description

CNC OperatorBuild It. Run It. Own It.

WAF - Crookston | Crookston, MN

Are you the kind of person who likes machines that do what theyโ€™re supposed to do? Do you enjoy turning a piece of metal into a finished part you can actually hold in your hand and say, โ€œYep, I made thatโ€?

Then you might fit right in at WAF - Crookston!

Weโ€™re looking for an entry-level CNC Operator to join our Machine Shop team. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of manufacturing and build valuable CNC skills while working alongside an experienced team.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

As a CNC Operator, youโ€™ll be part of the team turning aluminum castings into quality, precision-machined components.

Your day may include:

  • Operating CNC machines to produce quality parts to customer specifications.
  • Loading and unloading parts and keeping the machine running smoothly.
  • Inspecting parts using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
  • Following work instructions, prints, and quality requirements.
  • Making minor adjustments to keep parts within specification.
  • Keeping your machine and work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Watching for problems and speaking up when something doesn't look right.
  • Working with your teammates, leads, and supervisors to keep production moving.
  • Following all safety, quality, and production procedures.
What Makes You a Great Fit?

Youโ€™ll probably do well here if you:

  • Have a mechanical mindset and like figuring out how things work.
  • Can read and follow instructions.
  • Have good attention to detail.
  • Take pride in producing quality work.
  • Show up, work hard, and can be counted on.
  • Are comfortable working around machines and in a manufacturing environment.
  • Are willing to learn and take direction.
  • Can work independently but aren't afraid to ask questions.
  • Understand that safety and quality come before speed.

ย This is an entry-level position for someone who is ready to learn, work hard, and become part of a skilled manufacturing team.

Why WAF - Crookston?

Because we don't just make partsโ€”we make parts that go somewhere.

Our aluminum castings and machined components become part of products and equipment used by customers across a variety of industries. You'll have the opportunity to learn real manufacturing skills, work with some pretty cool equipment, and be part of a team that takes pride in getting the job done right.

And let's be honestโ€”there's something pretty satisfying about watching a machine turn a chunk of aluminum into a precision part.

What We Offer
  • Competitive starting wage
  • Opportunities to learn and advance
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-paid short-term and long-term disability
  • Voluntary accident and critical illness insurance
  • Up to $400/month daycare reimbursement
  • $1,000 referral bonus
  • Student loan repayment assistance
  • Up to aย 5% monthly performanceย bonus
  • A team that wants you to succeedโ€”not just survive your shift
Ready to Make Some Chips?
