Job description

We're looking for an experienced manufacturing leader to join our team as a Supervisor, Programming & Tooling. This role is ideal for someone with a strong CNC machining background who thrives on process improvement, technical leadership, and driving operational excellence.
In this position, you will lead CNC programming and tooling operations while helping standardize and optimize machining processes across the department. You'll work closely with production and processing teams to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and support the growth of programming and tooling personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily activities of CNC Programmers and Tool Crib Technicians
• Develop and optimize CNC programming processes, machining strategies, tooling selection, and setup documentation
• Lead tooling and tool crib standardization initiatives
• Analyze tooling performance, tool life, and cost-saving opportunities
• Support implementation of new machining technologies and continuous improvement efforts
• Provide technical expertise to manufacturing operations
• Mentor and develop team members through technical guidance and leadership
Qualifications:
• Strong experience in CNC machining, CAM programming, and G&M code/conversational programming
• CAD experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
• Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, machine maintenance, and manufacturing best practices
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Additional Details:
• Full-time position
• Typical schedule: 45-50 hours/week, including occasional evenings/weekends as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/sit for extended periods required
