Description & Requirements
CNC Machinist - Entry-Level
Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Are you working in automotive, HVAC, or another hands-on technical field and looking for a career with more depth, growth, and craftsmanship? B&M Machine Co. is hiring entry-level CNC Machinists to learn precision manufacturing from the ground up. No CNC experience required - if you can read a tape measure, troubleshoot mechanical problems, and want to start in a new trade, we'll teach you the rest.
We run a 4x10 schedule (three-day weekends, every week) and you'll train on our Mazak lathes and Haas mills alongside experienced machinists who've been doing this for decades.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Starting pay $20-$25/hour depending on technical background, with raises tied to skill milestones (most trainees move up within 6-12 months)
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with employer matching
  • Life and disability insurance
  • HSA and FSA options
  • Paid time off

What we're looking for:
  • Hands-on technical experience in any field - automotive tech, HVAC, diesel, industrial maintenance, welding, fabrication, military mechanical MOS, etc.
  • Comfort with measurement and basic math (fractions, decimals, conversions)
  • Mechanical aptitude - you've taken things apart and put them back together
  • Willingness to learn print reading, GD&T, and G-code (we'll train you)
  • Able to lift 50 lbs regularly and stand for a full shift
  • Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented

What you'll learn and do:
  • Load material, run parts, and inspect to print on CNC lathes and mills
  • Read engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators)
  • Progress into machine setups, tool offsets, and program edits
  • Eventually take on first-run jobs, fixturing, and full setups independently

About B&M:
Family-owned precision CNC job shop in Belleville, NJ. In continuous operation since 1947. We make precision parts in brass, aluminum, and stainless for customers who can't accept "close enough." If you take pride in doing things right, you'll fit in here.
Join Our Precision Team!
Apply now and be part of a team where craftsmanship meets cutting-edge CNC technology!
