Job description

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist role in Eugene.
Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest-quality manufactured products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their machining and production processes.


Key Responsibilities:

· Operate and monitor CNC machining centers and lathes during 2nd shift operations to produce precision components.
· Set up machines, including installing tooling, positioning fixtures, loading programs, and verifying setup accuracy.
· Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to machine parts to exact tolerances.
· Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement instruments.
· Adjust machine offsets, feeds, and speeds to ensure consistent part quality and efficient cycle times.
· Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and minor mechanical problems to minimize downtime.
· Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance in all machining and production areas.
· Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet nightly production goals.
· Accurately document machining data, inspection results, and tool usage throughout the shift.
· Assist with preventative maintenance and routine equipment cleaning.


Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; formal machining or manufacturing training preferred.
· 2+ years of CNC machining experience is preferred, but skilled candidates with less experience may be considered.
· Proficiency in operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and utilize precision measurement tools.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
· Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods during shift hours.
· Willingness to work 2nd shift and overtime as needed.
· Knowledge of G-code, tooling, and machining processes is a strong plus.
