Job Description

Location: Houston, Texas, (Hybrid - at least 3 days onsite/week)

We are looking for an Business Analyst - Power/Energy - Aligne Specialist to join our team as a consultant and support one of our clients in the power andย energy industry.

The consultant will play a key role in supporting the transition from Aligne to Orchestrade, providing day to day production and operational support throughout the implementation.

As a functional and technical subject matter expertise for the FIS Aligne Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) platform, the consultant will act as a primary liaison between frontend commercial trading desks, middle-office risk management, backend financial accounting, and internal IT delivery teams. The position is responsible for day-to-day production support, system configuration, functional specifications mapping, and driving critical platform transformations or version upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot system, process, and data issues and escalate complex issues when needed
  • Support users across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, and Accounting
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing including test execution and defect tracking
  • Maintain reference data, configuration items, and system documentation
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, stakeholder follow ups, and project activities
  • Track project tasks, status updates, requirements, changes, and key decisions
  • Prepare meeting agendas, capture notes, and follow up on action items
  • Support the Senior Business Analyst with business analysis and validation activities
  • Contribute to training materials and user support documentation
Qualifications
  • Platform Expertise: Direct hands-on configuration, implementation, or heavy upgrade experience with FIS Aligne.
  • Commodity Knowledge: Deep structural understanding of North American power, natural gas, NGLs, renewables, or refined product markets.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
  • Experience with UAT coordination, defect tracking, data analysis, and system validation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with different stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working in Agile or project based environments is a plus
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
