Project Structural Engineer
Join the experienced leadership in our expanding Encino, office. Assist in providing structural engineering calculations and drawings for a wide variety of project types and materials. Work closely with the architect and other disciplines to assist in the technical delivery of structural engineering documents. Collaborate with local building jurisdictions for the purpose of obtaining building permits. Opportunity to help broaden our Encino, CA area portfolio through facilitating new projects. Further your professional knowledge and experience through oversight and mentoring from our management team with the potential to move into a management role.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, Master's degree a plus.
  • Minimum two years of working experience in structural engineering.
  • PE license required.
  • Preferred computer program knowledge in RISA 3D, Microsoft Excel, SAFE, ETABS, Bluebeam, Ram Structural Systems and Enercalc.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and decision making skills.
  • Experience with BIM tools such as REVIT Structural, we only work in Revit.

Additional Information
  • Undertake detailed engineering design for gravity and lateral systems of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures.
  • Communicate directly with clients and building officials.
  • Assist in preparing design development and construction documents.
  • Create and interpret data from 3D structural analysis models using commercial software.
  • Keep senior staff informed of important and relevant design decisions and progress towards achieving the client's objectives.
  • Assist in progressing standards and technical knowledge of the firm.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% to ensure adequate support of Structural Engineering's projects.
