Job description

PrideStaff is currently hiring for day & swing shift Kitchen Steward for a casino in Bay Saint Louis, MS.


All interested applicants must be at least 21 years of age to work in this casino.


The Kitchen Steward plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and order in a busy kitchen environment, ensuring all kitchenware and cooking areas meet hygiene standards. Reporting to the Head Chef, the steward works within a medium-sized team of 4 to 7 members and supports efficient kitchen operations during day and swing shifts. This position involves the use of both manual and automated cleaning equipment to keep kitchen tools and surfaces spotless.


Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, cookware, and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and workstations
  • Dispose of trash and kitchen waste according to health regulations
  • Assist kitchen staff by preparing clean work areas and tools
  • Operate manual and automated cleaning machines safely and effectively
  • Follow instructions from the Head Chef and coordinate with team members
