Lake Ridge Assisted Living, a Cassia community, is hiring Caregivers/ Scheduling Assistants to join our team in Buffalo, MN! This is a great opportunity for those seeking entry-level work or wanting to learn and grow in a healthcare setting. No experience is needed as we will provide training to set you up for success. As a Caregivers/ Scheduling Assistants at Lake Ridge Assisted Living you will provide person-centered care to our residents, supporting them with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as showering/bathing, shampooing of hair and medication administration while promoting dignity, independence and well-being. Additionally, as a Scheduling Assistant, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts This position is ideal for someone who truly wants to make a difference in the lives of others
Position Type: On-Call
Shift Information:
  • 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday per year
  • At least one weekend a month as a caregiver or an on-call scheduling assistant to take calls and cover shifts as needed
  • There is a $140 bonus for the weekends worked as an on-call scheduling assistant
  • minimum of 24 hours a month on-call requirement

Wage Range: $18.17 - $22.28 / hour depending on experience.
Location: 310 Lake Blvd S, Buffalo, MN 55313
Caregiver/ Scheduling Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities. We do not use lifts.
  • Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
  • Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the RN.
  • Coordinate schedule and staffing levels for the department.
  • Help with employee engagement programming and assistance.
  • Take after hours call coverage via phone.
  • Document services performed on computerized charting system.
  • Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
  • Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
  • Prepare and administer medications in accordance with Lake Ridge Assisted Living policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
Caregiver/ Scheduling Assistant Qualifications:
  • Caregiving experience preferred, but not required. We will train you for this position!
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Previous staff scheduling and health care experience a plus!
  • Computer skills, ability to read, write and communicate clearly, self-motivated.
  • Previous experience in a similar setting is a plus.
  • A genuine desire to work with our elderly population.
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.
