In this role, the nurse typically works with care management teams to coordinate patient care, conduct health assessments, and help members navigate their health benefits. Entry level positions are designed for nurses with limited experience, providing on-the-job training and professional development. The focus is often on supporting members in managed care programs, ensuring they receive appropriate medical services, and improving health outcomes. This position is ideal for new graduates or RNs transitioning into managed care from other clinical settings.

As an Entry Level RN at Centene, you’ll typically participate in a structured onboarding program that introduces you to the company’s healthcare plans, case management systems, and compliance standards. The training often includes a mix of classroom instruction, shadowing experienced nurses, and hands-on practice with Centene’s specific documentation and care coordination processes. You’ll also receive ongoing support from mentors and team leaders, ensuring you’re well-prepared to manage patient cases and collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals across multidisciplinary teams. This comprehensive approach helps new RNs adjust smoothly to Centene’s fast-paced, member-focused environment.
