$22.50 per hour - Security Officer - Fire Panel Operator

Fire Protection:

$22.50 per hour

3rd Shift:

Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 11PM-7AM (32 hours per week)

2nd Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 3PM-11PM (40 hours per week)

Job Summary:

The Fire Panel Operator is responsible for continuously monitoring the fire alarm control systems and dispatching the Fire Protection Officer (FPO) in response to any alerts. This role ensures timely communication, accurate logging, and coordination with emergency response teams to maintain site safety and compliance.

Key ResponsibilitiesFire Alarm Monitoring

- Monitor fire alarm control panels 24/7.

- Acknowledge and assess alarm types: fault, pre-alarm, and fire.

- Ensure seamless shift handovers and operational continuity.

Alarm Dispatch & Communication

- Immediately dispatch the Fire Protection Officer upon alarm activation.

- Notify internal emergency contacts and site supervisors.

- Maintain communication with fire teams and security personnel.

- Log all communications and actions taken during incidents.

System Support

- Report faults or malfunctions in the fire panel system.

- Assist with system resets and support technicians during testing or repairs.

Recordkeeping

- Maintain detailed logs of alarms, faults, and drills.

- Record response times and actions taken.

- Ensure logs are secure and audit-ready.

Compliance

- Follow fire codes and plant safety protocols.

- Complete required training and stay current on system updates.

- Maintain readiness for audits and inspections.
