Job description

Cable Technician (Datacenter) – Lenoir, NCJob Description

We are seeking a motivated Cable Technician to support structured cabling installations in a data center and commercial construction environment. This role will assist with the installation, termination, testing, and organization of copper and fiber cabling while working under the guidance of experienced technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Pull, route, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling in accordance with TIA/EIA standards.
  • Assist with RJ45 terminations and patch panel installations.
  • Label and identify cables to ensure accurate documentation and organization.
  • Perform basic punch-downs on telecom blocks.
  • Support cable testing and troubleshooting using tools such as Fluke and EXFO testers.
  • Assist with fiber optic cable handling, dressing, and organization.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Follow all site safety guidelines and company procedures.
  • Work closely with senior technicians and supervisors to complete project tasks.

  • 1st and 2nd Shift Available
  • Monday through Saturday
  • Typical hours: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Overtime and Saturday work may be required based on project needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
