Location: Onsite in Fairfax, VA 3 days and in Washington, DC 2 days per week.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the analysis and design of the front-end UI/UX and business processes for DoD end user support systems. This role bridges the gap between business requirements and technical implementation for new end-user-facing applications. Position requires working directly with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional specifications for front-end development. Perform rapid prototyping to validate designs. Deliver optimal customer experience platforms for enterprise applications.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Perform requirements gathering and analysis of mission critical applications through different techniques including stakeholder interviews, questionnaires or surveys, user observation, document analysis and other methods.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional specifications for front-end development.
  • Create functional designs and prototypes using tools such as Figma to visualize requirements before development.
  • Partner with designers and developers to ensure the interface meets usability standards and aligns with business goals.
  • Communicate effectively with front-end developers about feasibility, constraints, and technical considerations.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that the front-end meets requirements and provides seamless user experience.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in a technical field
  • 10+ years supporting software development projects at an enterprise level
  • AI/ML SME experience
  • Knowledge in Python, Tableau, Business Statistics and coding languages
  • Understanding HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, etc.) - not necessarily coding, but enough to communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles and section 508 accessibility standards
  • Proficiency in requirements documentation, process modeling, and tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication
  • DoD expertise preferred

Certifications Required:

  • Agile Certified Scrum Master

Certifications Preferred:

  • PMP preferred
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance

Work Location:

  • 3 days in Fairfax, VA, 2 days in Washington, D.C.
