Our client is looking to hire a Business Development Coordinator to work directly with the Director of Business Development as well as the firm's partners.

In this role, you will...

  • Monitor case developments and draft updates for newsletters, website updates, attorney bios, and other marketing materials.
  • Research potential cases, industry trends, awards, ranking submissions, and other business development opportunities.
  • Contribute to process improvements, tracking solutions, and other strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of firmwide business development efforts.

Essential skills:

  • 2+ years of proven experience as a business development coordinator or other relevant BD experience.
  • Impeccable eye for detail and written/oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of business and personnel matters.
  • Ability to work with precision and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Proactive, independent, and able to take ownership of assigned projects.

This role is based in Washington DC and is 2 days/week onsite and offers full time benefits and a salary up to $95000.

The Marketing and Business Development Coordinator primarily supports the Director of Marketing and Business Development and works closely with the other U.S. Marketing & Business Development Coordinator (Marketing), as well as the firm's partners responsible for advancing marketing and business development objectives across all U.S. offices. The Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the alignment of initiatives, consistency of communication, and seamless execution of firmwide business development and marketing efforts.

Successful candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Flexibility, initiative, and strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track active cases, including key milestones and leadership roles.
  • Monitor case developments and draft updates for internal newsletters, bios, and other materials.
  • Update attorney bios with recent experience and leadership roles.
  • Maintain and improve business development templates and materials for accuracy and consistency.
  • Support the development of RFP responses and client pitch materials.
  • Conduct research on potential cases, industry trends, and business development opportunities.
  • Use firm research tools effectively; identify the right resources for specific research needs.
  • Support awards and rankings submissions, including tracking deadlines and drafting submissions.
  • Collaborate with team members and external vendors to support cohesive and effective marketing and BD efforts across all offices.
